Diagnostic Nanotools is a research group based at Vall d’Hebron Hospital (Barcelona, Spain). Our aim is to develop and validate biosensors, fast assays and novel detection strategies with diagnostic purposes (http://www.vhir.org/gr/dina).

The candidate will participate in the development of fast assays and electrochemical biosensors for the detection of infectious diseases.
In order to be eligible, candidates must:
– have obtained their doctorate between 1st January 2011 and 31st December 2016 (the date of the doctorate is regarded as the date of the defense and approval of the thesis);
– have at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience outside of Spain;
– not have resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to application submission date.
We will priorize candidates with the following profile and skills:
– Experience in the development, optimization and validation of electrochemical immunosensors and/or aptasensors.
– Experience in at least one of the following fields:
o Design and production of screen-printed electrodes.
o Design and production of paper electrodes and/or point-of-care diagnostic devices.
o Exploitation of nanomaterials with diagnostic purposes.
– Good knowledge of several electrochemical detection methods.
– More than 10 publications in indexed journals, ideally as the first author.
– Good communication skills in English.
– Organized, dynamic and hardworking individual with multidisciplinary profile.
