Un marco institucional promovido por la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid para: Realizar investigación de excelencia. Llevar a cabo transferencia de tecnología al sector industrial para mejorar su competitividad. Atraer los mejores investigadores y científicos españoles e internacionales a la región de Madrid.
Hacer de Madrid un lugar para la ciencia, la tecnología y la investigación, situándola a la cabeza de la innovación, entre las regiones generadoras de conocimiento.

IMDEA Networks Institute (www.networks.imdea.org) is a networking research organization whose multinational team is engaged in cutting edge fundamental science. As a growing, English-speaking institute located in Madrid, Spain, IMDEA Networks offers a unique opportunity for pioneering scientists to develop their ideas. We have the following PhD positions for specific projects:
• PhD Position in network measurements, online privacy, online tracking and applied security [Internet Analytics Group]
• PhD Position on Internet Blockchain [NETCOM Lab]
• PhD Position on Software Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization [NETCOM Lab]
• PhD Position on algorithms for future 5G networks [NETCOM Lab]
• PhD Position on Software Defined Networking [Networked Systems Group]
• PhD Position in loT [OppArch Lab]
• PhD Position in Distributed Spectrum Monitoring System to Localize Wireless Intruders [Pervasive Wireless Systems Group]

Graduates applying for this position should have the following attributes:

– B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Telematics or a related field (concluded by the time you join)
– Excellent academic transcripts
– Clearly defined Statement of Purpose for Ph.D. research thesis
– Excellent level of spoken and written English (please note: Spanish is not required)
– High level of motivation
